Accountabilities:
Customer Insight Leadership: Develop a deep understanding of internal customers’ data and analytical needs, with a focus on customer-facing model leadership; translate critical questions into analytical approaches that clarify brand choices and trade-offs.
Analytical Capability Building: Identify and prioritize enhancements and new analytic capabilities; lead the development, deployment, and embedding of those capabilities across the organization to scale impact and consistency.
Continuous Improvement: Instill a test-and-learn attitude by continuously evaluating new quantitative analysis methods and technologies; pilot, validate, and industrialize effective approaches.
Innovative Practices for Advantage: Create innovative analytical practices that deliver and sustain competitive advantage in brand performance and customer engagement.
Data Access and Integration: Access and combine the right information from a variety of tools and sources; demonstrate a strong understanding of integration points across teams, data sets, and workflows to deliver cohesive insights.
Data Storytelling and Influence: Summarize complex data through compelling storytelling; transform raw metrics into actionable insights; champion the use of local customer insight in strategic and resourcing decisions.
External Scanning: Monitor the external environment for leading analytic capabilities—both within and beyond pharma—and translate them into practical applications that elevate our brands.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science or Data Science. An advanced degree is preferred (Master’s, MBA or PhD).
2+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical / Biotech / Healthcare commercial analytics or secondary data analysis.
4+ years of experience in application of advanced methods and statistical procedures on large and disparate datasets, specifically:
Data Mining, Predictive Modelling & Machine Learning algorithms
Optimization & Simulation
Statistical Analysis & Modelling: Design of Experiments, Time Series, Regression, Applied Econometrics and Bayesian methods.
2+ years of recent experience and proficiency with SQL, Python and big data technology – AWS or Hadoop or Snowflake
Working knowledge in any of the data visualization or BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlikview, D3js or similar tools
Experience in MS Office products - Excel and presentation skills required
Experience with IQVIA and specialty pharmacy data sets; Proficiency in manipulating and extracting insights from large longitudinal data sources, such as Claims, EMR and other patient level data sets.
Statistical analysis and modelling background; ML a plus; Expertise in managing and analyzing a range of large, secondary transactional databases is required.
Ability to derive, summarize and communicate insights from analyses.
Organization and time management skills. Good communication and influencing skills. Able to develop and present succinct, compelling reviews of independent analyses that include insight and business implications.
Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership Team.
Exposure to Databricks and AI implementation, or any GenAI applications
Should have an excellent analytical, problem-solving ability; Should be a quick learner and should be able to generate insights for business.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Prior consulting roles in the US pharmaceutical space, or full-time employment with a US biotech or mid-/large-size pharmaceutical company
Basic or advanced knowledge of the US market access landscape
Basic or advanced knowledge of Market research, or Payer Analytics or Augmentation
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a significant number of business leaders and cross-functional business partners.
